Earlier this year film producer Danny Lacey filmed a 360 music video for Embrace‘s hit single “I Run”. Captured with 360Heros video gear and presented in the now popular tinyplanet style, the video was one of the first of its kind.
With so many people now interested in the tinyplanet (spherical) images and videos, the next question people are asking is something along the lines of “how on earth did you do that?” Lacey offers a detailed answer to curious viewers with this behind the scenes video:
Lacey’s video serves as an excellent end-to-end tutorial for producing 360 videos with 360Heros gear. During the course of the production, Lacey covers important points such as mounting, talent positioning and audio sync.
Around the 6 minute mark he then tackles the post production process, giving step-by-step instructions for editing with Kolor Autopano Video Pro and Autopano Giga. This includes an explanation for the alignment of control points, methods for eliminating ghosting and proper output settings.
Lacey’s in-depth tutorial serves as a fantastic guide for producers looking to add 360 video to their bag of tricks. 360Heros is honored to have producers such as Danny Lacey using our gear and we greatly appreciate his effort to help others learn to use it!
